It's all in the details....a great 70's music playlist, roller skates and poolside disco balls, 70's stickers, and a band!
Poor Tiki Hut is looking sad. It's been needing some remodeling attention for awhile. Stay tuned....
So Retro!
We just stayed in Joshua Tree for our 18th anniversary. I loved their natural shiplap wall and cactus bone weaving.
We made over our tiny side patio with a redwood fence and two planter boxes from Hayneedle.
I know they're everywhere right now...I despise following a trend - but I wanted one! I found some beautiful, amazing wall hangings by http://www.allroadsdesign.com ......who I read just partnered with Anthropologie. When I am hired to decorate, I will purchase these gorgeous textiles to install! In the meantime...
I found a nice gray macrame table runner at Cost Plus. I cut it in half, Daniel sawed off a nice brach/vine of creeping fig that had these interesting connecting parts. I unravelled some of the runner and tied it to the branch. Then I added some colorful yarn for interest on the runner and on the branches. I love it. It gave some softness to our newly repainted hallway where we removed a ton of family photos and kept only three. Plus we added a runner rug from Manhattan Rug Company. I also love the rug.
